Local SEO, AEO & GEO Consultant in London, UK

Ranked Local.Called Daily.

I'm Shahed Parvej, a local SEO consultant in London working with service businesses across the UK. Since 2016 I've run local search campaigns for 800+ businesses across ten industries: dentists, law firms, movers, restorers, cleaners, clinics and contractors.

My job isn't to send you a technical report. It's to make your phone ring, from the Map Pack, from organic search, and now from the AI assistants your customers ask instead of Google.

Local Visibility, Built On

Entity
SEO

Local rankings don't come from stuffing a town name into a title tag. They come from a search engine being certain about three things: who you are, what you do, and exactly where you do it.

That certainty is an entity. Build it properly (consistent name, address and phone number, structured data that agrees with your content, corroboration on the sources Google already trusts) and everything downstream gets easier. Map Pack positions hold. Service pages rank for terms you never targeted. And when someone asks an AI assistant for a provider near them, your name is the one it has enough confidence to say out loud.

Every engagement I run starts there, because an entity is the one asset that compounds across Google, Bing, Apple Maps and every generative engine that comes next.

Google Business Profile & Map Pack

Local SEO in London, UK

Three results sit in the Map Pack. Everything below the fold is a consolation prize. Local SEO is the work of moving your pin into those three, and keeping it there when a competitor starts spending.

  • Google Business Profile systems: categories, services, products, attributes and a posting cadence that signals an active business, not a dormant listing.
  • Service & location architecture: a page per service, per area, each one deep enough to deserve the ranking it asks for.
  • A review engine: a repeatable request pipeline, so review velocity is a system you own rather than a favour you ask for.
  • AEO & GEO visibility: being the name ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews give when somebody asks for a provider near them.

Website Design in UK

Rankings that land on a slow, vague website are an expensive way to lose business. The last mile matters as much as the first: the page has to load, convince and capture before the visitor backs out to the results page.

  • Fast, schema-complete builds: Core Web Vitals treated as a requirement, not a nice-to-have.
  • Conversion architecture: click-to-call above the fold, trust signals where hesitation happens, one obvious next step per page.
  • Local landing pages: a real page per town you serve, written to rank rather than spun from a template.
  • Honest tracking: GA4, call tracking and conversion events configured so you know which calls search actually earned.

AI Automation & CRM Management in UK

A lead that waits an hour is usually somebody else's customer. Rankings start the conversation; automation is what makes sure somebody actually finishes it.

  • Missed-call text-back: the enquiry stays yours instead of dialling the next result while your phone rings out.
  • Pipeline & CRM build: GoHighLevel configured around how you actually quote, book and invoice, not a generic template.
  • AI follow-up sequences: automated qualification and nurture that works the enquiry overnight and at weekends.
  • Reporting you can trust: one dashboard tying calls, forms and bookings back to the search that produced them.

Solving the local problems that

Others Won't Touch

A local rank grid scan: green cells where the business holds the Map Pack, orange and red where it drops away

When your local search gets messy, I roll up my sleeves.

Suspended Google Business Profile. Duplicate listings you never created. A service-area business competing against fake addresses. Three branches cannibalising each other's rankings. A previous agency's spam links still pointing at you.

These are the jobs that get quoted vaguely and then quietly dropped. They are the ones I take, because they are where the ranking is actually stuck, and nothing else you do matters until they are cleared.

With campaigns across ten industries and more than 800 local businesses since 2016, I know which of these genuinely moves a ranking and which is an expensive distraction.

Sector expertise means results that matter:

  • Dental & Private Clinics: treatment-level pages and review systems built around a booking cycle measured in weeks, not minutes.
  • Law Firms & Professional Services: practice-area pages that rank on substance, with named solicitors established as credible sources.
  • Home & Trade Services: emergency and scheduled demand separated, with speed-to-lead wired in behind it.

See how much of your local search is currently being left on the table.

Industry

A local SEO consultant who treats a dental practice like a roofing company is guessing. The ranking factors overlap, but the search behaviour doesn't: nobody compares five quotes at 2am for a burst pipe, and nobody books an implant consultation on impulse.

Ten years of campaigns across ten industries means I already know your seasonality, your objection points, and what your customer types into their phone at the moment they decide. Each sector below has its own page.

Dental & Private Clinics

High-value, considered treatments where trust does the selling. Treatment-level pages, clinician bios that establish real expertise, and review systems that turn satisfied patients into visible proof, built around a booking cycle measured in weeks, not minutes.

Law Firms & Professional Services

Practice-area pages that rank on substance rather than volume, and entity work that establishes the firm and its named solicitors as credible sources. Built for enquiries worth qualifying, in a market where one instruction can justify the year.

Conveyancing · Family · Immigration · Accountancy

Home & Trade Services

Emergency and scheduled demand behave differently, so they get different pages. Area coverage that survives a service-area setup, storm and season timing planned in advance, and speed-to-lead wired in, because the first firm to answer usually wins the job.

Removals & Moving Companies

Sharply seasonal, and won route by route. Real pages for the moves you actually do, quote flows that answer before a competitor does, and the whole build finished before the spring peak rather than during it.

Chiropractors & Clinics

Patients search for what hurts, not for chiropractic. A page per condition, practitioner profiles with registration numbers, and copy written to stay inside GCC and ASA advertising rules.

How we help your business

In This AI Era

Search stopped being ten blue links. Your customer now asks an assistant, reads one answer, and calls one of the two or three names it hands back, often without ever seeing a results page at all.

These are the four layers that decide whether one of those names is yours.

Google Business Profile & Map Pack

Local SEO

Three results sit in the Map Pack. Everything below the fold is a consolation prize. Local SEO is the work of moving your pin into those three, and keeping it there when a competitor starts spending.

  • Google Business Profile systems: categories, services, products, attributes and a posting cadence that signals an active business, not a dormant listing.
  • Service & location architecture: a page per service, per area, each one deep enough to deserve the ranking it asks for.
  • A review engine: a repeatable request pipeline, so review velocity is a system you own rather than a favour you ask for.
  • NAP & citation consistency: one name, one address, one number, everywhere a crawler might check it.

Be the answer, not a blue link

Answer Engine Optimisation

A growing share of your customers never see a results page. They ask an assistant for a recommendation and act on the two or three names it gives them. AEO is the work of being one of those names.

  • Answer-shaped content: pages that state the answer first and prove it after, in the format a model can quote without rewriting.
  • Structured data that matches: FAQ, Service, LocalBusiness and Review markup that corroborates your copy instead of contradicting it.
  • Citation surfaces: presence on the directories, publications and community sources these models actually pull from.
  • Assistant visibility tracking: monthly checks on what ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews say when asked for a provider like you.

Knowledge graph & brand entity

Generative Engine Optimisation

Before a generative engine will recommend you, it has to be confident it knows what you are. GEO is the layer beneath AEO: making your business a resolvable, corroborated entity rather than a string of text a model has to guess about.

  • Entity definition: a schema graph where Person, Organisation, Service and Place are linked by @id, not left as four disconnected blobs.
  • Corroboration mapping: finding every place your details appear, fixing the ones that disagree, and earning the ones that are missing.
  • Topical authority: content clusters that make your expertise legible at a topic level, not a keyword level.
  • Knowledge panel groundwork: the sameAs trail that lets Google connect your site, your profiles and your named entity with confidence.

Sites That Convert

Rankings that land on a slow, vague website are an expensive way to lose business. The last mile matters as much as the first: the page has to load, convince and capture. Then somebody has to follow up before the lead goes cold.

  • Fast, schema-complete builds: Core Web Vitals treated as a requirement, not a nice-to-have.
  • Conversion architecture: click-to-call above the fold, trust signals where hesitation happens, one obvious next step per page.
  • GoHighLevel pipelines: missed-call text-back, instant lead routing, and follow-up sequences that run without you.

Certifications don't rank websites. Campaigns do. But when you're handing someone the keys to the profile that generates your calls, it's fair to want proof they've been trained on it and have done this before.

Straight answers

Questions,
Answered

What does a local SEO consultant in London actually do?

I make your business the one that shows up when someone nearby searches for what you sell. In practice: optimising your Google Business Profile so it ranks in the Map Pack, building service and location pages that match real search intent, earning reviews on a steady schedule, and fixing the tracking so you can prove which calls came from search rather than assume it.

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO earns you a position in a list of blue links and map results. AEO, or Answer Engine Optimisation, earns you the citation inside an answer written by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google's AI Overviews. GEO, or Generative Engine Optimisation, is the layer underneath both: building a clear, corroborated entity so those systems know who you are, what you do and where you operate before they decide whether to recommend you. Most businesses need all three, in that order.

Do you only work with businesses in London?

No. I'm based in London and work with businesses across the whole of the United Kingdom, from single-location clinics to multi-branch trade companies. Local search is won location by location, and the method is the same whether the pin sits in EC4 or in Leeds.

How long does local SEO take to produce calls?

Google Business Profile fixes and review velocity usually move Map Pack positions within four to eight weeks. Organic service and location pages typically take three to six months to mature. Anyone promising you page one in thirty days is selling a report, not a phone call.

How do I know whether AI assistants currently recommend my business?

Ask them. Put your service and your town into ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini and see who gets named. If competitors appear and you don't, your entity is either incomplete or uncorroborated across the sources those models trust. That gap is exactly what a GEO audit maps, and it's the first thing I check on a free audit.

What happens on a free audit?

You get a prioritised fix list, ordered by what brings calls fastest rather than what's easiest to sell you. It covers where you sit in the Map Pack and organic results for the searches that actually convert, who's outranking you and why, whether your GA4 and call tracking are telling you the truth, and whether the major AI assistants mention you at all. No obligation attached.

How much does a local SEO consultant in London cost?

London agency retainers for local SEO typically run between £1,000 and £4,000 a month, and a large part of that covers account management, sales and office overhead before any work happens. A consultant removes that layer, so more of the budget reaches the actual campaign. I quote after the audit rather than before it, because pricing a campaign without first seeing your Google Business Profile, your competitors and your tracking would be guesswork.

Should I hire a local SEO agency in London instead of a consultant?

Sometimes, genuinely. If you need paid media, PR, creative and SEO running together at scale, an agency is the right shape and I will tell you so. What I would push back on is paying agency prices for work a specialist does directly, which is where most local service businesses end up. The practical difference is who does the work: at an agency it is usually a junior executive briefed by the person who sold you the contract.

Which parts of London do you cover?

All of it, and the surrounding counties. The office is at 9 New Change in the City, and I run campaigns across central, east, north, west and south London, from Shoreditch and Canary Wharf to Croydon, Brixton, Kingston and Ealing, plus Surrey, Berkshire and the commuter towns. Local rankings are won postcode by postcode, so coverage is built around the areas you actually serve rather than a borough list.

What is entity building in SEO?

An entity is a thing a search engine can identify and state facts about, rather than a string of words it has to guess at. Entity building is the work of making your business one: one exact name, address and phone number everywhere, structured data that agrees with your visible content, and corroboration on sources Google already trusts. It is the layer underneath local SEO and AI visibility both, and it is the reason two businesses with similar websites can rank completely differently.
